ALAMEDA CIVIC LIGHT OPERA MISSION STATEMENT
Alameda Civic Light Opera’s (ACLO) mission is to bring cultural enrichment to Alameda and the East Bay Communities. ACLO provides professional quality musical theatre and youth arts opportunities. ACLO produces Broadway musical productions each year at affordable prices with a unique emphasis on engaging youth in theatrical endeavors. ACLO has a unique youth internship program through which selected high school and college students are trained in all aspects of technical theater skills, from set production, scene painting, lighting and sound design and support, to stage crew work and stage management. ACLO is deeply involved in our community and offers performance artists to local non-profit organizations to enhance and support their programs.
